Utsav
Festivals that unite us
INTERNATIONAL SERVICE

"On September 28th, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar hosted Utsav, a vibrant cultural exchange that brought together clubs from across India for an unforgettable virtual celebration. This international service initiative allowed each participating club to showcase the festivals that are celebrated with love and devotion in their respective states.
From Goa’s lively Sao Joao to Hyderabad’s colorful Bathukamma, Manipur’s spirited Yaoshang, Belgaum’s Ganeshotsav, Sikkim’s Dashain, Delhi’s Diwali, and Tamil Nadu’s Pongal, each presentation painted a vivid picture of India’s rich cultural tapestry. Our very own President, Rtr. Gouthami Parthasarathy, also delighted everyone by showcasing the gombe setup at her home and explaining how Navratri is celebrated in Karnataka.
The enthusiasm, love, and pride that every club displayed made the virtual gathering feel intimate and personal, as if we were truly traveling together across the country. The participating clubs included following Rotaract Clubs - Delhi South, Sunrise, GIT, Jammu City, Imphal, Gangtok Hills, Panjim, and Loyola Institute of Technology. Their collective participation brought a rich diversity of stories, customs, and perspectives, making the session feel like a true journey across India.
By the end of the event, it was clear that Utsav had accomplished its purpose: forging friendships, celebrating unity in diversity. Participants shared heartfelt feedback, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to connect and celebrate together. What began as a virtual meeting ended with lasting bonds, invitations to visit each other’s states, and memories that will continue to inspire cultural exchange in the future."
