"The Bengaluru Makeover was organized by RI District 3191 on November 16th along Sakalawara Road, near Bannerghatta National Park. The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar actively joined hands with the district and several participating clubs for this impactful cleanliness and beautification drive. The initiative aimed to restore the true essence of Bengaluru by removing waste, improving the surroundings, and adding vibrant colours to the walls across the stretch.

The event began with all participants gathering at the venue, followed by a warm breakfast arranged for the volunteers. Soon after, a short briefing session was conducted in which the day’s plan and safety measures were clearly explained. Once the instructions were given, everyone split into teams and started picking up waste across the premises. Volunteers were provided with dustbin covers, gloves, and other necessary materials to ensure hygiene and smooth execution of the activity. As a collective effort, the entire stretch was thoroughly cleaned.

After the cleanup, the focus shifted to the beautification segment of the project. Rotaractors enthusiastically began painting the walls with Rotary and Rotaract logos, Rotary’s Areas of Focus, and meaningful murals that added life and colour to the surroundings. The idea was to showcase civic responsibility while also transforming the space into something visually appealing and inspiring for the community.

Throughout the activity, members from various clubs interacted, worked as a united team, and contributed to a shared cause. It was a wonderful opportunity to collaborate, bond, and make a visible difference. Overall, the event was an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for everyone involved, leaving both volunteers and the community with a sense of pride and positivity."
