SPROUTSCAPE

The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar kickstarted the new Rotaract year with SPROUTSCAPE, a one-day club outing held on July 27, 2025. Designed as our first project of the year, this initiative aimed to strengthen bonds among members and set the tone for a collaborative and vibrant year ahead.

The idea to visit Mallappa Konda was proposed by our Club Service team, and the plan came together beautifully when one of our directors, Rtr. Yashwanth, generously offered to host the team at his native place nearby. The day began early, with 26 of us boarding a bus from Bangalore at 6 AM. The journey was filled with laughter, dancing, and light snacks of bananas and biscuits.

Upon reaching Mallappa Konda, we began our trek and soaked in the natural beauty around us. After the trek, we were warmly welcomed into Rtr. Yashwanth’s home, where the experience turned even more special. Together with his family, we cooked a hearty lunch that included ragi shavige sweet, chapathis, and other homemade delights.

Post lunch, we conducted our 1st official General Body Meeting for the year in a casual and cheerful setting. We then visited the scenic backwaters nearby, enjoying some relaxed time together. On our return journey, we stopped at Bangarpet and treated ourselves to delicious local chats like masala puri, pani puri, and the shop’s famous gulkand sweet.

The day wrapped up with non-stop dancing and joyful chaos on the bus ride back, and we reached Bangalore around 9:30 PM, tired but full of memories.
