"The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar, jointly with the Arya Vaishya Ladies Group International (Basavanagudi Wing), celebrated Rakshabandhan on 16th August 2025 by visiting the Basavanagudi Police Station. This initiative was aimed at expressing gratitude and appreciation towards the traffic police who tirelessly ensure the safety and smooth functioning of our community.

The celebration began with the ladies of AVLGI and our club leaders performing the traditional Rakshabandhan rituals. Rakhis were tied to the traffic police officers, followed by an aarti ceremony, symbolizing respect and goodwill. To further honor their service, sweets were gifted, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.

The officers also engaged in light conversations with the participants, sharing experiences and receiving heartfelt appreciation for their commitment and hard work. The event concluded with a group photograph, capturing the essence of togetherness and gratitude.

The key takeaway from this initiative was the strengthening of bonds between citizens and the protectors of our streets. It served as a reminder that festivals like Rakshabandhan are not only about tradition but also about extending respect, care, and recognition to those who dedicate themselves to the welfare of society."
