Potluck Party
Potluck with the theme of Karnataka's traditional dishes
CLUB SERVICE

"On 1st November, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar organised Potluck Party at VVN Degree College. As part of the Nodi Namma Ooru 2.0 RIDE initiative our delegates got a chance to experience this culinary feast with us. The objective of this project was to celebrate and reintroduce culinary traditions of Karnataka while also giving delegates an opportunity to experience the state’s authentic flavours.
Members prepared traditional Karnataka dishes in their homes and brought them to the venue, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the event. By the time the delegates arrived, the entire setup was ready, and our members began serving the special homemade dishes they had lovingly prepared.
The Rotaract Club of Atria Institute of Technology, along with their delegates, joined us for the potluck, making the gathering even more vibrant and collaborative. A variety of healthy and traditional dishes were featured, including ragi rotti, akki rotti with chutney, yenne badnekayi, ragi ambali, and many more regional favourites.
The delegates thoroughly enjoyed tasting these homemade delicacies and appreciated the cultural exchange through food. The afternoon was filled with warm conversations, shared meals, and strong fellowship. We were also honoured to have Rtr. Gouthami’s parents and Rtn. Anjali ma’am as special guests for the afternoon, adding warmth and value to the occasion.
Overall, the potluck lunch was a delightful experience that brought members together, showcased Karnataka’s rich food heritage, and strengthened bonds between the participating clubs."
