NID Polio Drive
Collaborated with Rotary Bangalore South to volunteer for the Polio Drive
COMMUNITY SERVICE

"The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar collaborated with Rotary Bangalore South to volunteer for the Polio Drive held on 21st December 2025 from 8:30 AM onwards at NR Colony Maternity Hospital, Yediyur School, and VV Puram. The initiative aimed at supporting community health while creating awareness about the importance of polio prevention and immunization.
This drive was conducted across multiple locations in Bengaluru to ensure wider outreach and public health protection. Vaccination booths were opened to the public from the morning, allowing parents to bring their children for polio immunization in a safe and organized manner.
Qualified doctors and nurses administered the polio drops, supported by medical students from various medical colleges across the city. Local auto drivers played an important role in mobilizing families to government schools and maternity hospitals, while teachers and hospital staff guided new parents on the significance of timely polio vaccination.
Members of the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar, along with Rotaractors from other clubs of District 3191, actively volunteered throughout the day. They assisted parents, coordinated with the medical teams, and ensured the smooth flow of activities at all venues.
Overall, the Polio Drive was a meaningful service initiative that emphasized preventive healthcare and community awareness. It truly reflected the spirit of Rotaract, where service above self, teamwork, and dedication come together to create a positive impact on society."
