Global Platter
A Culinary Journey Created by Clubs Worldwide
INTERNATIONAL SERVICE

"Global Platter – A Culinary Journey Created by Clubs Worldwide, launched on November 10, was an international initiative started by the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar. We invited clubs from across the world to collaborate with us by sharing famous recipes from their region.
The response was overwhelming, with participation from clubs across India and various countries. With all the recipes received, we created a beautiful food magazine showcasing diverse flavours and culinary traditions. The Global Platter magazine was officially released on November 28 on our club’s social media platforms.
The following clubs took part in this global culinary feast: Rotaract Club of GNITS (RI District 3150), Rotaract Club of Imphal (RI District 3240), Rotaract Club of University of Nigeria (RI District 9142), Rotaract Club of Panjim (RI District 3170), Rotaract Club of Delhi South Central (RI District 3011), Rotaract Club of Lalitpur (RI District 3292), Rotaract Club of Priyadarshini College of Engineering (RI District 3030), Rotaract Club of Loyola Institute of Technology (RI District 3233), Rotaract Club of Oyo Central (RI District 9126), Rotaract Club of GIT (RI District 3170), Rotaract Club of Himalaya Patan (RI District 3292), Rotaract Club of Kathmandu Metro (RI District 3292) and Rotaract Club of York University (RI District 7070).
We received a wide variety of dishes from Nigeria, Canada, Nepal and many districts in India. The magazine featured everything from familiar favourites like Maddur Vade and Paneer Tikka Rolls to unique and lesser-known dishes such as Ofe Oha and Amala with Abula from Nigeria, Bebinca from Goa, Sha Phaley from Nepal and Poutine from Canada.
This project focused on creating something unique with the support of all these clubs across the world. It was a wonderful experience for us to organize this activity and bring so many cultures together through food. "
