Dance For a Cause
CLUB SERVICE

"The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar along with Rotary Bangalore South successfully hosted Garba Utsav 2025 – Dance for a Cause on 20th September 2025 at the grand Vasavi Convention Hall, Basavanagudi. The vast and beautifully decorated venue set the perfect stage for an evening filled with energy, devotion, and togetherness. This being the third consecutive year of the event, the excitement was unmatched as participants arrived in dazzling traditional attire, women in colorful ghagras and men in elegant kurtas, bringing the true festive spirit of Navratri alive.
The evening kicked off at 6PM with Rtr. Abhay and Rtr. Pooja taking us through some fun Garba moves, followed by a soulful Durga Maa Aarti in front of a stunning idol decor beautifully done by Anjani Novelties, which filled the hall with divine music and positivity. The DJ night that followed featured a mix of Gujarati and Bollywood beats, where everyone danced their hearts out and enjoyed authentic Gujarati delicacies like dhokla, fafda, and jalebi.
Exciting awards added more sparkle to the night. Best in Style Male was won by Rtr. Kishan from Atria I.T., Best in Style Female by Rtr. Khushi, Best Dancer Male by Rtr. Suvin from JP Nagar, Best Dancer Female by Rtr. Khushi, and Best Dancing Duo by Rtr. Shriti and Rtr. Harish. The lucky draw winners, Rtr. Nischitha, Rtr. Samarth, Rtr. Sameen, Rtr. Suhrith, and Rtr. Sahithya, each received a silver coin, making the celebration even more memorable.
We also took the opportunity to felicitate our generous sponsors Tixora, Innowhyte, Banjara by Anjana, Hype Experts, Flash and Freeze, and Custom Create along with our collaborating clubs Rotaract Club of Bengaluru South End, Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar, and Rotaract Club of Atria I.T., and a special mention to our promoting partner, Rotaract Club of Atria I.T., one of our very own sister clubs that created engaging reels and promoted the event remarkably well.
As one of our club’s biggest fundraisers, Garba Utsav 2025 was not just about celebration but also about impact. With a profit of 44,803 rupees, the funds raised will go toward installing pad vending machines and incinerators in government schools, supporting menstrual hygiene for girl students. The event also helped us build long-lasting bonds with our fellow clubs, celebrating unity, friendship, and the joy of serving together."
