Cafe Hopping

"Café Hopping, held on 25th October 2025, was an initiative by the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar under the avenue of Club Service, aimed at fostering fellowship and shared experiences over local flavours and laughter. The event brought members together for a delightful morning exploring some of the most beloved and authentic coffee and snack spots in and around Girinagar and Basavanagudi. The day began with steaming cups of rich Kumbakonam filter coffee, a favourite that still sparks conversations, followed by a hearty breakfast at Davangere Benne Dose where buttery benne masala dosa, khaali dosa, and paddu filled everyone’s plates and hearts alike.

The group then rode to Basavanagudi to continue the trail at Iyengar’s Inn, indulging in comforting dishes like idli-vade, mosaru vade and, of course, another round of coffee. To wrap up the morning, the team headed to Juice Junction, where everyone tried something new; from weird good old ABC (Apple-Beetroot-Carrot) juice and kokum to classic butterfruit shakes. The laughter, random conversations, and friendly teasing throughout made it more than just a food trail. It became a celebration of connection and shared joy.

The event reflected the true spirit of fellowship, strengthening bonds through simple, genuine experiences. It upheld the Four-Way Test by promoting fairness, goodwill, and friendship among members, encouraging open conversation and inclusivity, and reminding everyone that even the simplest plans can create the most meaningful memories when shared with the right people."
