"The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar, along with the Rotaract Club of Atria Institute of Technology, organised “Agentify & Chill”, an engaging AI learning session focused on understanding automation and building AI-powered tools. The event was conducted on 27th February at Atria Institute of Technology and simultaneously hosted on Google Meet to ensure both offline and online participation. The purpose of the session was to introduce participants to the rapidly evolving field of AI agents and automation, while providing them with a hands-on opportunity to learn practical tools that can simplify and automate everyday tasks.
The session was mentored by Rtr. Shiv Mohith from the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar, who conducted the workshop in both online and offline formats. The session began with theoretical concepts where participants were introduced to the basics of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAGs), and AI agents. This was followed by an interactive practical segment where participants built their own personal expense tracker agent using n8n. The project was integrated with Telegram and Google Sheets, demonstrating how AI-powered automation can be applied in daily life. Participants actively engaged throughout the session, experimenting with the workflow and learning how different components work together to create a functional AI agent.
The session saw enthusiastic participation from both clubs, creating an interactive learning environment. Rtr. Shiv Mohith patiently guided participants throughout the process, assisting them whenever they faced challenges and ensuring that everyone could follow along with the practical implementation. The presence of our parent Rotary President, Rtn. Shivram, who joined the session to learn alongside the participants, made the event even more special and motivating for everyone involved.
The event served as a valuable platform for members to explore the possibilities of AI and automation while strengthening collaboration between the two clubs. Overall, Agentify & Chill was an informative and engaging session that highlighted the potential of AI in simplifying everyday tasks and encouraged members to continue exploring emerging technologies together."
